The weekend, what happened to it?

Friday, the horrible curse of womanhood descended upon me and I sat on the couch miserable all evening and got about 2 hours of sleep that night. Ditto for Saturday, except that I went to acupuncture in the morning and then sat on the couch all day. Luckily, Sunday was much better! I had found an organ on craigslist (free!) and we borrowed my boss' truck to go pick it up. The elderly couple giving it away were just the sweetest! We stayed and chatted for a few minutes with them. The husband used to work for Lockheed Martin after World War II back when it was The Martin Company. They were living in North Carolina and on unemployment when Martin started advertising in their area. They moved into company housing in Middle River - rows of tiny little houses with their tiny little yards - that was built in the 30's and 40's. Those houses haven't changed a bit over the years, and a lot of the residents are Martin retirees. Anyway, they had purchased the organ over 20 years ago and she never learned how to play it. Their granddaughter wasn't interested, so they put it on craigslist! It has a problem with the switch, but nothing that Chris can't figure out I'm sure. Other than that it is in perfect shape. A Baldwin Overture Fun Machine. I'll post some pics later today. Chris and I managed to carry it out of the house and lift it into the truck (and reverse process once we got home) without breaking anything. We had to make room for it in the living room, so we now have a couch in our dining room. I put it on Freecycle and hopefully someone can pick it up before Thanksgiving. Keeping my fingers crossed!
So after all that lifting, I am pretty darn sore today...
