Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I wore a bracelet today given to me by Chris' parents a few years ago (picked out by George, I believe). It is sterling silver with green turquoise triangular stones. I didn't want to get pinched :).

I have a few pics I need to post - of Katie, Kyle and David's visit last week, and the progress of the home renovation. We decided to completely redo the master bath at the last minute. It is a tiny bathroom, with pink walls, green tile floor and a green 70's prefab shower. Absolutely horrendous. Kyle demo'd the room in one day - tore out everything. He had to make some repairs to the sub-floor (water damage from the old toilet), and do some plumbing work to get ready to put a modern shower valve in. I wanted a tile shower, so Kyle built up the shower floor, using thin-set and a special rubber shower floor liner, among other things. By Friday, we were ready to put tile down! We did the bottom of the shower first and up over the curb, a tile called Cayman Dolphin.

We were able to complete most of the back wall also before they left, using just a plain white tile we found at The Loading Dock in Baltimore. Tonight, I'll be finishing the right side wall, and hopefully the left side wall tomorrow night. Then, we finish the floor - which is a lovely white and gray marble ceramic tile.
I might leave Chris the grouting to finish while I'm gone next week. It'll give him something do do instead of worrying about the surgery. And, I'd rather not do it :). He can grout and install the toilet and vanity. We haven't picked out a light fixture yet, or a mirror. He may decide to cut into the wall and install a medicine cabinet, just so we don't lose any storage. Not sure yet. I don't really like the way most medicine cabinets look, so if we can hide it nicely behind a pretty mirrow, that would be great.

I will try my best to post some pics tonight!
