So this is the bed I've been weeding for the last couple weeks:
This is the small section I've cleared so far:
It's a lot of work! It's not just pulling up weeds, but actually digging up the vines that have taken over the bed that is the hard work. There were old juniper plants in the bed that died long ago, but left tendrils a couple inches under the surface in every direction and needed every inch out. I didn't get much done on it this last week, but I've been watching to see if there has been any new weed growth at all in the cleared section, and there hasn't - so that's promising.
