deja vu

The pain has returned. Unfortunately, I will be undergoing a third surgery. I don't know when yet - but this time we decided to send my records down to the Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta. I overnighted them today, and they take 7-10 days to review them in depth and contact you. I'm going to have a hard time with the wait, but my lovely husband is keeping me occupied. He's been picking out movies I'd like from Netflix, taking me shopping, cooking me dinner, and making me laugh. I'm lucky to have him.

In other news, Katie, Kyle and David will be coming to visit the second week in March. I'm so excited! I've already let my boss know that I would be taking vacation then, and we're going to be working on some house projects. Not sure exactly what we'll do yet, but there are a few possibilities - most of them seem to include tile! Laying the marble in the 1/2 bath downstairs, retiling the backsplash in the kitchen, pulling out the master bath green shower and tiling in a new one. That will be a huge project for sure. There's also some landscape design needed if the weather permits. And of course, some room in the house always needs some paint. I'm sure I'll be able to keep them busy :).

When they're not slaving away, we'll try and visit the American History Museum, which reopened in the fall after a 2 year renovation. Maybe we'll even try and visit James at the Capitol for a special tour. It's certainly easy to find lots of free things to do around here. I'm just happy to visit with them, since I only saw them for a day at Christmas. Last year when they visited, it was to take care of me during/after my second surgery, so I really hope that isn't becoming a yearly trend...

I'll leave you with a recent picture of Chris and me in Philadelphia a few weeks ago:

By the way, Happy Mardi Gras!

Hi Sarah,

I just read thru your blog - I didn't realize you were writing on here. I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well again. I will be in DC the week after April and hope that you will be able to make it into the city for a couple of hours to get together. I would love to see both you and Rachel and Chris if possible. I'll e-mail you when the trip gets a little closer.

Tara
